Privacy Policy

Effective April 2026, last updated September 2026. Imagine Reading is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (Tax ID 99-5139425). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Contact forms: your name, email, location, and message content.
• Donations: name and email. Card details are processed by our payment provider and are never stored on our servers.
• Mailing list: your email address, plus your first and last name if you choose to give them.
• “Join our community” form: your name, email, and state, and a phone number if you choose to give one, along with the story and answers you choose to share, including which challenges your family has faced. You can also tell us whether you would like our newsletter, with or without direct contact from us, and whether you would like to hear about becoming an Ambassador. Every field is optional.
• Anonymous analytics: page views, browser type, and general location only.

How we use it

To respond to you, deliver resources you request, process donations, send our newsletter and updates to people who have signed up for them, and build the national resource hub. If you tell us you are interested, we may also contact you about becoming an Ambassador in your state or region, unless you have asked us not to contact you directly. We may combine answers into anonymous statistics, such as the share of families who report a particular barrier, but we never identify you in them. We use information only for the purpose you provided it.

Where it is kept

Details from the community form and newsletter are kept in Bloomerang, the database we use to manage our community and supporters, and are delivered to our team by email. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare. These providers handle your information only to provide their service to us.

What we don’t do

• We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
• We never share your information with advertisers.
• We never share donor names or giving history with outside organizations.
• We never publish your story or contact details without asking you first.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a minor’s data has been submitted, contact hello@imaginereading.org and we will remove it promptly.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. To unsubscribe from emails, use the link in any message or contact us.
